Anti-epidemic leader-Academician Zhong Nanshan exchanges experience with foreign nations in GZ

Today (April 15) at 10:00 am, the press office of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government held the 78th epidemic prevention and control press release event at Guangzhou Medical University. Zhong Nanshan, leader of the high-level expert group of the National Health and Safety Commission and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the meeting and had discussions with 19 representatives of foreign nationals working and studying in Guangzhou.

Most of these foreign nationals are students studying in Guangzhou, and some work and live in Guangzhou. They come from Somalia, Vietnam, Palestine, Japan, Bangladesh, Australia, Nigeria, Malawi, Guinea, Ghana and other countries.

During the exchange, Academician Zhong Nanshan introduced China's experience in combating New Coronary Pneumonia. The strong suppression strategy adopted by China implemented four "early" measures through key areas "closing cities", open and transparent and timely information release, and joint defense and joint control mechanisms Diagnose early isolation and early treatment) and cover nucleic acid testing to all close contacts, controlling the development trend of the epidemic in a short time.

At the meeting, Academician Zhong Nanshan introduced that the main transmission routes of new coronary pneumonia are droplet transmission and contact transmission. Therefore, the key to prevention and control is to maintain social distance and wear masks, which can not only prevent patients from infecting others, but also protect themselves from infection. In addition, we need to be alert to the spread of asymptomatic infections, so we should pay more attention to the close contacts of the diagnosed patients, as well as the key epidemic areas and their close contacts.
